in the frame of amber’14 Art and Technology Festival
at SALT Beyoglu Istanbul, November 9th, 2014
3 days of dance and improvisation, this was an inclusive piece for dancers with different abilities. Along the piece the audience is confronted to issues of disability, difference and discrimination.
While new technologies extend and change the bodies, here we make a special emphasis on the other abilities. Technology is increasing the diversity of the body’s boundaries, as well as its perception.
‘RemDans’ was founded by the dancer, choreographer and body reader Tugçe Tuna in 2001 and continues as one of the pioneer and innovative interdisciplinary contemporary dance performance collective based in Istanbul.
